1NT System
Card:
- Texas: Transfer then 4M is mild slam try vs. Texas direct. Texas is on in competition.
- Delayed Texas: Stayman then Texas after 2♦ response (6/4)xx
- 2♠ Range/C, 3♣ for D:
- Responder follow-up: Shortness suit, 3NT, Redwood, Quantitative
- 3M is doubleton in suit that wouldn’t allow a re-transfer (3M-1 suit)
- 2NT is no doubleton
3♦ by opener, Radu’s version, 3♣ = no 5-card major, then responder bids the other major with a 4-card major- Then 3♦ says I’m 53 in the majors, opener bids cheapest 3+ major, everything else is logical from there
3♣ by opener is 4522Radu’s version 3♦ = (i.e., can’t reverse so opened 1NT), then fast arrival slow arrival- 3NT not interest in majors, probably 4333
- After quantitative:
- Any bid after 4NT quantitative is accepting.
- 5X shows 5#
- 6X shows 6#
- 5NT pick a slam. (multiple places to play, find a 44).
- 5NT Pick a slam. Other than after RKC this is always pick a slam
- Pulling 3NT is a slam try: 1NT-2♦-2♥-3♣-3NT-4♣ (x AKJxx xx AQJxx) … NOT GERBER!!! 4NT is sign off! (With redwood would have to play 4♠ here is RKC, 4♥ is ambiguous). 1NT-2♦-2♥-3♦-3NT-4♣ (1543 slam try), again 4NT is to play (x AKJxx AQxx Qxx).
- 4NT: Jacoby then 4NT is quant, TX then 4NT is RKC, Jacoby then 5NT is pick
- Jacoby then Splinter: 1NT-2♦-2♥-4♣
- Jacoby then 4M: balanced mild slam try 6+
- After Stayman: 4NT quant, 5NT pick, 3m GF, reverse Base
- Splinter/Balanced/RKC:
- 3oM splinter: Fit + unspecified splinter, ask with 1st step, then low/middle/high step response
- 4♣ balanced slam invite: Balanced Slam invite
- 4♦: shows interest but not sure (last train)

- Gambling 3NT: any other minor bid (any level) is pass/correct as indicated. No outside Ace.
- After Responder 2NT: 1NT-A-A-2NT, 3rd bid by opener:
- 3m: attempt to play there (could have started with 6 but needed to open 1NT)
- 3M: forcing showing fragment
- Only Gerber Situations:

- 2NT-4♣, 2♣-2♦-2N-4♣, 2♣-2♦-2♥-2♠-2NT-4♣
