After opponent action over our overcall:

• ♦When: Disciplined in direct seat, opener, can shade down non-vul or extra shape. Anything goes in balancing (partner must have what you don’t in points)
• ♦Basic: 2C: Majors 45 or better; 2D: One Major; 2HS: 5M + 4+m; X: 4M + 5+m, over weak X for penalty; 2NT: UNT (55 minors); 3CD: Long minor (6+)

• ♦Pass for clubs: Long clubs no majors
• ♦Weak 2HS: preference
• ♦2D major ask: show me longer major
• ♦NOT WITH DAN. 2NT Ask LR both: With Dan we decided not to use these over. With Radu, l Limit raises 4#+ low to low high to high, CD max, HS min (could be 3# over 1D Michaels because don’t have 2D ask that can be raised)
• ♦3H/S mixed: mixed raise 4# 7-10
• ♦WITH DAN 3CD LR: Radu 3CD natural escape: With Dan, we decided to use these Gavin’s way, as LR+ for the suit, 3C for H, 3D, for S. Gavin plays these as the LR’s but Radu says you don’t really need them if you can bid 2D first then over 2D-2H can bid 2S or 3H and over 2D-2S can bid 3H/S. I think it’s better if we go with Radu’s way with the Michaels differences below
